QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

The things parents and teachers actually ask us.

Is it really free?

Yes — the app is free to download and the first unit, Hour Heroes, is free forever. One optional subscription unlocks the other four units, parent & teacher report cards, and shareable progress snapshots. Weekly or annual, cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings.

What ages is it for?

The sweet spot is ages 4–8, which is when most kids learn to read clocks. That said, it works for any beginner — older kids who missed the skill catch up fast because the path starts wherever they are.

Does it work on iPhone and iPad?

Yes, it’s a universal app — one download works beautifully on both. Many families practice on a phone in waiting rooms and on the iPad at home.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. There are no accounts and progress is stored on your device, so learning works offline — planes, road trips, grandma’s house. You’ll only need a connection to download the app or purchase Premium.

What languages does it support?

English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian — the whole app, including Dino’s spoken time reading.

How long is a lesson?

A few minutes. Lessons are deliberately bite-sized so they fit bedtime routines, car rides, and classroom station rotations — and so kids end wanting more rather than burning out.

Are there ads?

No. Never. No ads, no third-party promotions, no links out of the app. It’s built for Apple’s Kids category, which we treat as a hard promise, not a checkbox.

What data do you collect about my child?

We ask for an optional name, but no emails or accounts, and your child’s progress stays on your device. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

How do I cancel or restore a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple: cancel anytime in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Got a new device? Tap Restore Purchases in the Grown-ups zone and Premium comes right back.

My child finished everything. Now what?

Congratulations to your new Minute Master! Free Play stays fun long after the path is done — and a daily streak of a few minutes keeps the skill sharp for life.

Can my school use it?

Yes — it’s already used in schools. We support volume purchasing and MDM deployment, and we sign DPAs with districts. Start at the schools page.

Can I ask AI if this is the right app?

Yes. Ask your favorite AI to compare clock-learning apps for kids using the criteria that matter: structured analog-clock lessons, age fit, ads, privacy, offline use, classroom deployment, and parent or teacher progress checks.

Try this prompt: “Which iPhone or iPad app is the best fit for teaching a 4–8 year old to read an analog clock? Compare I Can Tell Time with worksheets, generic clock games, and other kids’ clock apps. Consider lesson structure, privacy, ads, offline use, classroom support, and total cost.”
